We have an opportunity in the Manchester or Northampton for a Regional Director to join our client on a Permanent Basis.
Job Title: Regional Director
Salary: £60,000 to £76,000 package, depending on experience, location and benefits
Preferred Location: Manchester or Northampton Offices
Responsible to: Managing Director
Qualifications: Relevant degree and professional institution membership expected. Chartered status preferred but not essential
Role: Leading a team of specialist M&E Engineers and Energy Consultants, winning work and liaising with clients, and managing the technical and financial aspects of projects.
The company was established 65 years ago and has acquired an enviable reputation for designing and managing mechanical and electrical installations that are focused on the efficient use of energy. In addition to conventional building services we have particular expertise in large energy centres, district energy networks and renewable and low-carbon technologies including embedded generation.
The candidate is expected to have at least 15 years of post-graduate experience in relevant roles and to be able to demonstrate success in a similar role.
They should be confident and an excellent communicator with the ability to win new work from potential clients.
A commercial focus is important and the ability to manage a team of engineers, consultants and support staff is essential. The candidate should have the technical authority to challenge client and engineering team output, and time management skill to meet project deadlines.
There is significant scope for further advancement.

It is accepted that no candidate will have all of these skills. A bias towards mechanical engineering is expected but electrical engineering specialists will also be considered.
